we designed a book celebrating 55 years of work by the american photographer jerry uelsmann, a major creative force in fine art photography for nearly six decades. he is known for the surreal images he manipulates by working in a darkroom with seven enlargers and multiple negatives. the book’s layout creates a sense of discovery—flipping through its pages rewards detailed attention, as numerous subtle design elements are revealed that are in tune with the artist’s ethos and personality. “the mind’s eye” is published by modernbook editions, 228 pages. we also designed a website to showcase uelsmann's unique vision and enigmatic work.
